Momma's First Blog and Some updates on Monkey

Today marks my first attempt at blogging. I wish I would have started sooner, but I figure it is better late than never!

Today was a special day for Monkey. He has been rolling around his crib since he was nine weeks old, but has never decided to do it when we were playing. While our lovely Parents As Teachers lady (Christina) was here , Owen decided that he didn't want to do tummy time. Each time she put him on his tummy, he managed to roll right back on his back. It was adorable! Here are a couple of pictures from the first time he rolled over from back to belly(this has been going on for awhile, but the first picture is from July21st- the first time he managed to free both arms :P ).

Being the obsessed Momma that I am, I of course ran and got the video camera as soon as she left. I managed to catch him rolling again, but he sure was a crankster! As soon as I figure out how to get the video up I will add it to this post.

The PAT visit went really well. Owen was all smiles as usual and had fun hanging out with Christina. She said that developmentally and physically Owen looks great and doesn't seem to need his 4 weeks of adjusted age at all! She also commented on how great his head control is. :) It is so amazing watching him grow and experience life. I am not sure what in the world Josh and I did to deserve him, but we sure are lucky to have him!

On July 28th - Owen did a full push up! Sounds small, but that's a big task in baby world!

I should also add that Owen is now aware of his feet. This leads him to have many hours of entertainment kicking them and staring at them. When I add shoes to the mix, it is even more entertaining! :)
